The late fee is in effect, but it’s still not too late to register for Fall CMC! We invite students of all ages, abilities, and instruments to join. No audition required! Why register for Fall Semester? Fall at CMC includes specialized programming including “College Night,” which provides college application and audition support, scholarship audition preparation guidance, mock auditions and more to help students get ahead of the college game. More programming includes “Competition Night.” CMC’s participants are consistently top prize winners at the most prestigious chamber music competitions in the United States. We provide educational and financial support to student ensembles entering competitions at the local, state, and national levels. Some competitions include the Midwest Young Artists Discover National Chamber Music Competition, the Coltman National Chamber Music Competition, and the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. Our Fall program also includes small ensemble and chamber orchestra coachings by local and national professionals featuring a side by side with KASA Quartet (Andy Liang, Aaron Schwartz, and CMC Alumni Stephanie Price and Kyle Price) and renowned saxophonist Eddie Barbash. Congratulations to CMC Artistic Director Debbie Price for presenting at the Chamber Music America National Conference! Debbie presented along three fellow experts from diverse chamber programs: Iryna Krechkovsky — Moderator & Panelist, Chamber Music OC Pre-College Program Margaret Batjer — Director, The Colburn Music Academy Jennifer Elowitch — Director, Walnut Hill School for the Arts Together they presented the CMA Pre-College Panel, Chamber Music as a Catalyst: Designing Pre-College Programs for Today’s Students. They discussed the evolving needs of young musicians and the role of chamber music in meeting those needs, exploring repertoire, curriculum, accessibility, time commitments, and community engagement, highlighting how chamber music helps students become thoughtful, adaptable, collaborative, and well-rounded musicians. |

As we count down the days to Fall CMC, we want to highlight our upcoming student fellows for this term — starting with Emma Vivian! Emma is a cellist and a first year fellow. In her two and a half years at CMC, her favorite memory is her first ever chamber music competition last winter with her quartet. Her favorite chamber piece is Brahms Sextet No. 2 in G Minor, Op. 36, she collects vintage playing cards, and has found over 100 four leaf clovers! We can’t wait to have you join the Fellows team, Emma! |

Novemberfest Nov. 6th - 14th This year, we are thrilled to welcome guest artists "Pershing’s Own" US Army String Quartet, including CMC alumna Allison Smith! Winter Program Jan 8th - Feb. 27th We are excited to present our associated faculty, The Callisto Quartet (Eric Tsai, Gregory Lewis, and CMC Alumni Eva Kennedy and Hannah Moses), and violinist and CMC Alum Alexandria Hill!
